Scenic Painting Workshop- Canyon HS
DATES: July 24 & 25, 2023
Location: Canyon HS, 1510 I-35, New Braunfels, TX 78130

2 days/14 hrs 9am-4pm
This workshop taught by guest artist, Erin Kinkade. It is an introductory course into scenic painting techniques. Attendees will have a hands-on approach creating different textures and faux finishes such as wood grain, stone, wallpaper, marble and other ways to add dimention to your scenic elements. Paint clothing is required.

Learn the basics of faux finishes commonly used in productions
Shading techniques to give your pieces a polished look
Paint mixing practices that get you the right shade everytime
Discuss diffeent paint bases, chemical, when to use what and how
Sound Workshop - Emerson HS

This workshop taught by guest artist, Jose Prado of Levo Audio Visual, LLC. It is an introductory course into sound equipment handling, maintenance and troubleshooting. Attendees will have a hands-on approach to wireless mics, sound boards and monitor set ups. It is geared to theatre directors who are interested in musical theatre applications.
